Zakłady Tłuszczowe Bielmar Sp. z o.o is a polish company owned by present and former employees, rapeseed suppliers and products distributors. The company exists in its present form since 1994, but Bielmar itself has been active since 1945.
Company’s headquarters are located in Bielsko-Biała, where there are rapeseed storages, modern oil press, refinery, margarine production plants and logistic base. The company owes the status of the expert almost 70 years of the production tradition, based on the highest quality raw materials, acontrolled production process and sustainable development policy.
Bizner’s plant oil factory in Kamienica is established. The factory burned down in 1917. It was rebuilt around 1920 and 1921 and rented by Paweł Hoffman and Stern brothers. The production of margarine and refined oil has started.
S. Artz opens competitive plant oil company in Bielsko-Biała.
The company renames to Bielmar. Logo is designed by Kazimierz Gibała. Bielska Margarine
On Bielmar’s Palma margarine appears the image of a friendly boy with black skin. The author of the image, Maria Rymkowska, was inspired by palm oil origins and, very popular these days, poem by Julian Tuwim. Customers start to call Bielsko-Biała margarine - Palma z Murzynkiem. Maria Rymkowska is also the author of characteristic bread image of Śniadaniowa.
Employees, farmers, and wholesalers register the limited liability company. Main contributors are Stanisław Babiński (Executive Director), Zdzisław Then (Purchasing Manager), Jan Daniel (Technical Manager) and Augustyn Kubiczek (Chief Accountant).
The employee-owned company takes over the BZPT Bielmar estate. On first of April Zakłady Tłuszczowe Bielmar sp. z o.o starts production.
New company headquarters building is presented and becomes Bielmar’s flagship.
During the first decade of 21 century, the company invests in modern sewage plant and grease trap. Due to this investment water and air pollution are highly reduced.
New oil press is build. The technology of extracting oil from rapeseed is changed to more ecological one and it is also the time of introduction of the highly efficient deep drawing process.
Extraction technology is eliminated.
Bielmar makes a lot of new investments during the period of time from 2006-2013. The new warehouse is build along with palletizers operated automatically, new gas-powered boiler room which supplies our machines with steam. Transportation department got the new base with large social and technological network.
Bielmar presents new logo.
The company constantly develops their products and produces new ones, especially with cold-press oils. FITHIA product line is introduced.
Bielmar extends Fithia line by new products – bread spreads with cold-pressed pumpkin oil, sunflower and linen oil.
The company becomes a strategic partner of JEM DRUGIE ŚNIADANIE campaign, which is a nationwide educational promotion and Pajacyk program supporter.
We begin a new program “Śniadanie na Start”, aimed at school children. The goal is to educate about healthy breakfasts.
